How do I use this device?

When you receive your Self Defence Alarm Plus it will come with operating instructions and a diagram of each of the buttons/features.

To activate the Alarm: Simply press the Alarm button twice quickly. Once activated the light will flash and the siren will sound continuously until deactivated.

The siren comes from a speaker on the back of the device, keep this speaker uncovered and pointed toward the target.

The Self Defence Alarm also has a convenient torch for non-emergency use. There is a button to turn on and off the torch without activating the Alarm.

Once activated how do I deactivate the Alarm?

To deactivate the Alarm hold the Alarm Button for 3 seconds.

How long does the battery last?

Battery Life:

When you receive your Alarm it will have a partial charge. Charge before first use.

*The Alarm is loudest when fully charged. When not being used the battery will slowly deplete over time (6 months). For optimal performance charge the device at least every couple of months.

Great product, very easy to use. I haven’t needed to use it yet but I feel so much safer having it jic when I walk my dog in the early morning and late at night. Sad that Australia has come to this, feeling the need for personal safety!

Very pleased with my purchase of 2 self defense alarms.
. The alarm is very easy and safe to use. I appreciate the easiness of operation and safety of the operation especially around the ' 2 presses' to activate the alarm. This ensures it does not activate from getting accidently pushed.
I do have a mobility issue and walk with crutches and this alarm will be used to ward off dogs off leashes as well as dubious humans.
I wonder if they might be useful for other aged persons.

Wanted something to ‘try’ to prevent a horrible situation from happening! Had been thinking about buying an alarm for myself and two daughters and decided to buy from an Aussie company - wasn’t disappointed - they are fantastic, loud and tte torch is handy! I had to walk to my car late at night after work and walked with my alarm in hand! One daughter goes for a run with hers in hand and took it camping. Easy to charge and I just think ‘why not have it’ especially these days…GET ONE!
